BLOOMSBURG — Wyalusing had several strong performances at the District IV, Class A Cross-country Championships Thursday.

On the boys’ side Aidan Neeley was on pace to qualify for states when a medical problem forced him out of the race.

His team ended up finishing fourth with 93 points, while the Lady Rams also finished fourth in their race with 66 points.

“I had some athletes PR, others that placed well, and the majority hit their peak at the right time,” said Wyalusing coach Lori Kingsley. “Anytime you can get all your athletes to that race, not injured and healthy, is a miracle in itself.”

Megan King (22:34.9) was 13th to lead the girls while Camry Gesford (22:44.3) and Riley Porter (24:17) were 14th and 15th.

Ireland Coats (26:21.5) took 29th, and MacKenna Brewer (29:24.2) rounded out their top five in 29th.

Griffin Sheldon (19:18.2) led the boys with a 19th place finish followed by Cody Tuttle (20:14.4) and Tyler Caplan (20:32.9) in 26th and 27th.

Dominick Trowbridge (21:38.7) came in 32nd, and Riley Price (25:26.9) finished 40th.

“Considering I was approved after the pre-season started, and the majority came with zero mileage, I’m pretty darn proud of them,” remarked Kingsley. “We have some really fast ones coming up, and ones that now know my training, which will make for a very competitive team next year. Between coach Allen and I, we are building a strong program.”
