Northern Tier Sports ReportA busy week as districts comes out in full swing for cross-country, soccer, and volleyball while football had their rivalry games.
On the boys’ side NEB’s Jackson Martin took third at the District IV, Class A Boys Cross-country Championships as he led the Panthers to the team title. Towanda’s Emmett Klees became a state qualifier in the District IV, Class AA Boys Cross-country Championship race as a freshman. They are the Male Co-Athletes of the Week.
On the girls’ side Towanda’s Izzy Larson used a strong finish to take fourth at the District IV, Class AA Girls Cross-country Championships to become a 3-time state qualifier. Black Knight Karis Flynn helped her team to a 3-1 week as they made districts and then won their first match as she had 82 assists, 39 digs, and 52 points. They are the Female Co-Athletes of the Week.
