NTL GOLF: CANTON SEES SUCCESS DURING INAUGURAL YEAR (November 10, 2025)
BY CHRIS MANNINGNorthern Tier Sports ReportCanton’s inaugural golf season had plenty of highlights, from winning their first match to sending a golfer to districts.
The Warriors finished 6-29 on the season for seventh place in the league, their best finish in a league match came in their season finale on their home course at Corey Creek when they beat CV and Sayre.
Individually, Reed Taylor qualified for the District IV Championships when he hit the cut mark at the qualifiers with an 88. He finished with a 95 on the first day.
Throughout the season, though, several different players stepped up to lead the Warriors on the links with Taylor, Levi Vermilya, Tommy Preston, Gavin Sharp, and Carson Rockwell all earning team high honors throughout the season.
The Warriors will return most of their team for next season as they look to climb the ranks of the NTL
