COLLEGE: SULLIVAN'S WADE, ATHENS' NASON IN ACTION ON THE MATS (November 26, 2025)
BY BRYAN SEYMOURNorthern Tier Sports ReportMore college wrestling going into Thanksgiving break. Our area saw two more wrestlers in action. Clarion University was at the Big Red Invitational at Cornell University. While Millersville University dueled against Shippensburg.
Wrestling for Clarion was Sullivan County’s Colton Wade. Wade placed in the 133 pound bracket B group. In a round robin format, in the first round Wade won by major decision 11-0 over Sacred Heart’s Anthony Clem. In the second round, Wade faced his teammate Aiden Beimel and won by decision 4-2. In the third and final match, Wade won by technical fall 15-0 over Sacred Heart’s Micheal Baker. Wade finished his day 3-0 to win the B group.
Wrestling in an exhibition match for Millersville, Athens graduate Caleb Nason faced Cameron Montgomery of Shippensburg. Nason with a win by fall in 2:43.
More wrestling action will continue after the fall break. Lock Haven Open on Sunday November 30 with more duels to follow in the coming weeks.
