NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: ROUTE'S BIG NIGHT NOT ENOUGH AS CANTON FALLS TO AUSTIN (December 5, 2025)

GALETON — Canton led at the half but Austin out scored them 29-17 in the second half to take the 42-32 win at the Galeton Boys’ Basketball Tournament Friday.

The Warriors were up 15-13 at the break, but a 17-8 run in the third by Austin gave them control of the game and they didn’t give it up.

Ryder Route hit five 3-balls en route to 19 points to lead Canton with Drew Holton netting four. Cooper Jennings scored three as Monte Whitehead, Teyton Thompson, and Jack Whitehead all had two points.

Brennan Ogden had 17 points to lead Austin with Tymber Nichols adding 13.

Canton (0-2) will play in the consolation game on Saturday.
