NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOUGH SECOND HALF DOOMS WYALUSING AGAINST SHAMOKIN (December 6, 2025)

SHAMOKIN — A rough second half hurt Wyalusing in their 46-37 loss to Shamokin during non-league girls’ basketball action Saturday.

The Rams led 27-22 at the half, but were out scored 24-10 in the second half.

Jenna Morningstar had 14 points to lead Wyalusing in her varsity debut, with Alysha Botts adding nine.

Callee Warner and Liz Kilmer had four points each, while Treanna Nickeson and Emily Fowler both scored three.

Ava Bonshock and Gabby Venna had 10 points each to lead the Indians.

Shamokin held a 12-10 lead after one as Morningstar had six points to lead the Rams.

They had a game high 17 points in the second frame as Botts, Morningstar, and Warner all had four points.

The Rams were held to just three field goal sin the second half, two of them by Morningstar.

Wyalusing (0-1) travels to Canton on Wednesday.
