AOW: NEB'S WILKS, KOLESAR HAVE BIG WEEKS TO START WINTER SPORTS (December 7, 2025)

It was an exciting first week of winter sports with several titles, both on the court and on the mat. NEB boys, and Canton girls brought home tournament titles, while in wrestling NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar won gold, along with Towanda boys' basketball bringing home a season opening win.

Kolesar went 4-0 to get that gold, with three falls and a tech at the Jarvis Memorial Tournament, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.

On the boys’ side NEB’s Clay Wilks had a big week as he helped the Panthers to a 3-0 start to the season, and their third straight title at the Montgomery Tournament. He averaged 14 points and 10.7 rebounds this past week to earn Male Athlete of the Week honors.
