NTL VOLLEYBALL: TROY'S ANDRUS, JACKSON HEADLINE BRADFORD COUNTY ALL-STARS (December 8, 2025)

Northern Tier Sports Report
It was another exciting season on the volleyball court with plenty of ups and downs all over. Troy, though, ran it back in the NTL while also getting that elusive District IV title. Up in the valley Sayre and Athens also brought home D4 championships.

Leading the way for the Trojans was the dynamic duo of middle hitter Aryana Andrus and setter Brenna Jackson.

Andrus was dominant at the net with 408 kills on the year, finishing just short of 1,000 for her career, to go with 90 blocks. She also 42 aces, and 106 points from the service line.

Jackson was usually the one setting her up as she finished with 629 assists on the season, and went over 1,000 for her career. She also had 212 digs, 39 aces, and 156 points on the year.

The two are the Bradford County Volleyball All-star Co-Players of the Year.

On the backline Alli Bailey was everywhere for the Trojans finishing with 386 digs on the season, earning her the Defensive Player of the Year honors.

The rich also got richer as freshman Alexa Lawrence is the Newcomer of the Year with 97 kills, 173 points, 46 aces, and 238 digs.

On the offensive side of things the other two district champs featured Rylee Lantz of Sayre and Ellie Mosher of Athens. Mosher finished the year with 285 kills for the Wildcats, while Lantz had 211 kills for the Redskins as they are the Co-Offensive Players of the Year.

Wyalusing’s Josie Ferris ran the Ram offense this season as they had a bounce back year. She finished with 470 assists to be the Setter of the Year.

For Towanda Brynsen Vargason came to the libero position late in the year but held it down once she got there, finishing with 317 digs to be the Libero of the Year.

Also for the Knights Karis Flynn did a little bit of everything - 221 points, 33 aces, 66 kills, 504 assists, and 21 digs - to be the Utility Player of the Year.

Sayre’s Colby Sangrey and his staff led the Redskins to their program’s first district title, along with their first state playoff win, earning them the Coaching Staff of the Year.

The first team consists of Jackson, Andrus, Bailey, and Haidyn Watson of Troy, along with Vargagon, Flynn, and Brooklyn Evans of Towanda.

Athens has Mosher and Kayla Forbes, with the Rams getting Ferris and Emily Johns. Sayre’s Lantz is on the team along with Canton’s Cailyn VanNoy.

The second team consists of Lawrence from Troy, along with Athens’ Meg Wiles, Lainey Vosburgh, and Kendall Galasso.

Towanda has Caedence Wells, and Lariah Long, along with Wyalusing’s Madalyn Broschart, Kirra Millard, and Jaylyn Herda.

Canton has Tara Gilbert and Makenna Seachrist, while Sayre has Reghan McGaughey, Lilli Schack, and Yhale Doon.
