NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA ROLLS PAST SAYRE (December 9, 2025)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda boys’ basketball rolled to their second straight win, beating Sayre 68-20 during NTL action Tuesday.
The Knights jumped out to a 24-6 first quarter lead and never looked back with five different players getting into double figures.
Darrius Farrell led the way with 15 points while Lucas Vincent added 13. Boom Thompson and Markell Garner both chipped in with 10 points.
Graham Welles scored six, with Josh Maye, Landon Clark, and John Hemphill all netting four each. Hudson Stevens rounded out the scorers with two points.
Riley Johnson had 11 points to lead Sayre.
Towanda had 12 field goals in the opening frame, led by eight points from Farrell. Farrell scored seven more in the second to lead the Knights as they took a 41-10 lead into the locker rooms.
Garner and Thompson had four points each in the third, while Vincent scored seven points in the fourth.
Towanda (2-0) will be at the Muncy Tournament this weekend.
