WYALUSING — Wyalusing won eight matches as they topped Troy, 46-17, in their NTL wrestling opener on Tuesday.

The match was Troy’s season opener.

The Rams got falls from Greasyn Vaow (189), Daniel Fox (215), Cole Patrick (139), and Griffin Sheldon (145) with Jonathan Earle (160), Isaiah Harvey (121), and Bostyn McMicken (127) scoring forfeits.

Reuben Kinney (152) had a 19-11 major decision over Logunn Heasley as their other win.

For Troy Hunter Watson (172) scored a 17-3 major decision over Conner Earle to win his first varsity match.

Marcus Frisbie (133) scored a fall, with Garret Parks (107) earning an 11-3 major decision over Logan Wood.

At heavyweight Reed Palmer (285) earned a 4-0 win over Brenden Wells.

There was a double forfeit at 114.

Troy (0-1) will host NP-Liberty on Thursday for their home opener, while Wyalusing (5-3) has a big showdown at Athens on Friday.
