NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA TOPS LINE MOUNTAIN IN TOURNAMENT OPENER (December 12, 2025)
Northern Tier Sports ReportMUNCY — Nine different players scored as Towanda rolled past Line Mountain, 65-37 during the opening round of the Muncy Boys’ Basketball Tournament Friday.
Four different guys hit double figures, with Darrius Farrell netting 14 to lead the way. Graham Welles and Lucas Vincent had 13 points each, with Boom Thompson scoring 12.
Also for the Knights Josh Maye added four, Hudson Stevens scored three, with Keegan Stroud, Landon Clark, and Markell Garner adding two points apiece.
Towanda jumped out to a 17-8 first quarter lead behind two 3-balls from Welles. The Knights out scored Muncy 14-6 in the second to build a 31-14 lead at the half.
Farrell netted seven for Towanda in the frame as Thompson added six.
The two teams were at 13-all in the third as Vincent and Welles had five points apiece in the contest.
A 21-point fourth quarter by Towanda allowed them to pull away. Seven different players scored, led by eight from Vincent.
Towanda will take on Muncy in the title game on Saturday.
