NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: TOWANDA BOYS EARN SEASON OPENING SWEEP (December 13, 2025)

SHAMOKIN — The Towanda boys’ swim team swept a tri-meet last weekend, beating Shamokin (80-59) and Mifflinburg (73-71).

“It was a great first meet,” said Towanda coach Hannah Deacon. “Coach Strickland and I are really looking forward to working on a couple of things and improving with each meet.”

For the boys in the 50 free Shane Maghamez swam 27.06, Kellen Colton finished in 28.59, and Nathan Little swam 35.36.

In the 100 free Lake Strickland swam 1:05.04, Andrew Manley in 1:12.78, and Travyn Lewis finished in 1:19.31.

Nolan Deacon swam the 200 free in 2:18.39, followed by Kennetth Carle (2:35.33), and Xander Pratt (2:50.14). Pratt swam the 500 free in 8:13.96.

Deacon swam the 100 backstroke in 1:13.46, followed by Maghamez (1:13.82), and Curtis Carter (1:31.79).

Manley swam the 100 breaststroke in 1:29.95, followed by Matthew Weinman (1:32.60), and Strickland (1:42.96).

Colton swam the 100 fly in 1:25.76.

On the girls’ side Reagan Deacon swam the 100 breaststroke in 1:40.22.
