NTL GIRLS' WRESTLING: SLUYTER'S SILVER LEADS TOWANDA AT QUEEN OF THE HIVE TOURNAMENT (December 14, 2025)
Northern Tier Sports ReportHONESDALE — Towanda’s Kaylen Sluyter took home silver to lead the Black Knights at the Queen of the Hive Tournament on Saturday.
Sluyter (118) took second as Lia Fischer (142) and Elizabeth Naughton (155) both took fifth, while Kenzie Brown (130) came away with sixth.
Sluyter went 4-1, with three falls, before getting pinned by Greater Nanticoke’s Emily Kilver in 5:35 in the finals.
Fischer went 4-2 with two falls, a major decision, and a 4-0 decision against Pocono Mountain West’s Elysia Brown in the fifth place match.
Naughton went 3-2 with a fall, a major decision, and a win by forfeit in the fifth place match.
Brown went 5-1 on the day with four of her wins by fall.
Hailey Petrowski (124), Kaylee Johnson (100), and Kendal Cook (148) all went 2-2, as Alivia Spicer (155), Hailey Harbst (106), and Natalyn Morris (112) went 1-2.
Adelee Wecker (170), Ily Benjamin (136), Jordyn Post (190), Kylie Johnson (124), and Sierra Gromley (148) all went 0-2.
Towanda was eighth as a team with 103.5 points.
The Black Knights host their first home dual on Monday against Wellsboro with a 6 p.m. start.
