NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING PINS THEIR WAY PAST NEB (December 16, 2025)

WYALUSING — Wyalusing held off a tough NEB challenge, 42-25, during NTL wrestling action Tuesday, just a few days after doing the same against Athens, to stay undefeated in the league.

The Rams won seven matches to the Panthers’ five, and made the most of their wins with them either being falls or forfeits. Of NEB’s five wins, just three were falls. 

Isaiah Harvey (121), Bostyn McMicken (127), Griffins Sheldon (145), Jonathan Earle (160), and Brenden Wells (285) all had falls for Wyalusing with Logan Wood (107) and Cole Patrick (139) scoring forfeits.

Mason Alexander (114), Alex Gomez (152), and Russell Martin (189) had the Panther falls, as Asher Kolesar (215) scored a 10-0 major over Daniel Fox, and Kale Howland (172) won 8-3 over Conner Earle.

Wood opened with a forfeit for a 6-0 Wyalusing lead, but Alexander got that back with his pin over Austin Jones in 3:05.

The Rams won the next two matches as Harvey pinned Keagan Slater in 17 seconds, followed by McMicken getting a 4:51 fall over Comstock to take an 18-6 lead.

After a double forfeit at 133 Patrick got his forfeit to make it 24-6 Ram lead.

Sheldon’s fall of Raymond in 3:28 extended that advantage to 32-6, though Gomez’s pin of Reuben Kinney in 2:17 ended the Wyalusing run for a 32-12 score.

Jonathan Earle’s fall over Connor Eastabrook in 1:16 sealed the win for Wyalusing put the Rams on the brink.

Howland’s decision over Conner Earle got the Panthers back on the scoreboard but sealed the win for Wyalusing.

Martin then pinned Graesyn Vaow in 1:41, followed by Kolesar’s win to make it three straight for NEB.

Wells’ pin of Ben Ellis in 4:30 ended the match.

Wyalusing (7-3) is off until the Jim Thorpe Tournament after Christmas while NEB (8-1) is at Troy on Monday.
