NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA BLITZES NPL FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN (December 17, 2025)

LIBERTY — Towanda’s run through the NTL Small School Division continued on Wednesday as they rolled past NP-Liberty, 56-28, in girls’ hoops action.

The Knights jumped out to a 19-6 first quarter lead and never looked back behind 15 points from Payton Perry, and 14 out of Mary-Kate Eberlin. Perry also had three steals.

Mya Maynard had six points, 15 boards, and three steals, as Kennedy Heyer added six points. Brynn Woodruff, Reese Sullivan, and Karis Flynn had three points apiece, with Woodruff getting three steals and four boards, as Flynn had four steals.

Maris Cobb netted two points to go with three steals, with Taylor Aquilio also getting two points, while Ali Hollett rounded out the scoring with one.

Hailey Litzelman led NPL with 17 points.

In the opening quarter Towanda hit three 3-balls, as Eberlin led them in scoring with seven points. 

The Knights would out score NPL 17-6 in the second quarter as Maynard netted all six of her points in the frame for the 35-12 lead at the break.

Perry got hot in the third, nailing two of her three 3-balls en route to eight points in the frame, as Towanda out scored NPL 14-11 to shut the door.

Towanda (3-1) will test their 3-game win streak on Friday when they host Athens to open Large School Divisional play.
