NTL WRESTLING: CANTON FALLS AGAINST WILLIAMSON (December 18, 2025)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCanton led early but Williamson took the final six weights to pull away for the 40-21 win during NTL action Wednesday.
Tommy Preston (145), Owen Moore (152), and Blane Wesneski (189) all had falls for Canton as Carson Rockwell (172) scored a decision.
For Williamson Ben Freeman (215), Luke Sottolano (285), Zander Wilson (121), Xander Stafford (127), Hunter Simonds (133), and Kohen Vandelinder (139) all scored falls as Anthony Baker (160) earned a tech fall.
There were double forfeits at 107 and 114, while Williamson was deducted a team point at 172 for unsportsmanlike on the coach.
Falls by Preston and Moore gave Canton a 12-0 lead to start, while Baker’s tech cut it to 12-5.
Rockwell’s 7-0 decision over Steven Olson made it 15-5, followed by Wesneski’s fall putting Canton up 21-5.
Falls by Freeman and Sottolano cut the deficit to 21-17.
After the turn Wilson’s first period pin put Williamson up 23-21, while the pins by Stafford, Simmonds, and Vandelinder helped push them away.
Canton (1-1) is at the Panther Holiday Tournament this weekend.
