NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: LAIN WINS GOLD FOR TOWANDA AT ELK LAKE INVITATIONAL (January 2, 2026)

DIMOCK — Towanda competed at the Elk Lake ‘Keeping the Beat’ Invitational on Friday.

Brennick Lain led the way with his win in the diving with 183.50 points. He was also eight in the 50 free in 25.64, and 17th in the 100 IM in 1:16.49.

Nolan Deacon took fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:09.88), seventh in the 200 free (2:17.09), and 16th in the 100 IM (1:14.54).

Kenneth Carle was sixth in the 200 free (2:16.95), and 10th in the 100 free (1:00.94), while Shane Maghamez was sixth in the 100 backstroke (1:13.03), and 11th in the 50 free (26.61).

Lake Strickland was 13th in the 100 free (1:02.12), and 15th in the 50 free (28.24), as Curtis Carter took ninth in the 100 backstroke (1:28.90), and 20th in the 50 free (29.60).

Kellen Colton was 16th in the 50 free (28.54), while going 20th in 100 IM (1:19.27), with Andrew Manley taking eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:25.64), 21st in the 100 free (1:09.58), and 28th in the 100 IM (1:31.28).

Xander Pratt was ninth in the 500 free (7:39.70), and 11th in the 200 free (2:42.38), with Matthew Weinman taking 12th in the 100 breaststroke (1:32.29).

Travyn Lewis was 26th in the 100 free (1:15.10), and 31st in the 50 free (33.07), Brayden Mattison took 30th in the 100 free (1:20.96), and 32nd in the 50 free (33.40), Cooper Chamberlain was 29th in the 100 free (1:20.81), and 35th in the 50 free (34.36), with Nathan Little 31st in the 100 free (1:21.02), and 34th in the 50 free (34.16).

The 200 free relay of Deacon, Colton, Maghamez, and Lain was third in 1:47.14, while the foursome of Carle, Manley, Deacon, and Lain took third in the 400 free in 4:13.58.

The 200 medley relay of Maghamez, Manley, Colton, and Strickland was seventh in 2:19.97.

In the 200 free the team of Carle, Strickland, Mattison, and Chamberlain was seventh in 2:09.46, while the foursome of Carter, Little, Weinman, and Pratt was seventh in the 400 free in 4:59.22.

On the girls’ side Reagan Deacon was sixth in the 200 IM (3:17.73), ninth in the 100 breaststroke (1:37.38), and 17th in the 100 IM (1:28.99).
