WELLSBORO — Canton won nine of 13 matches as they rolled past Wellsboro, 54-9, during NTL wrestling action Wednesday.

Levi Vermilya (107), Henry Proseus (127), Gavin Sharp (139), Tommy Preston (145), Carson Rockwell (160), and Blane Wesneski (172) all had falls for the Warriors, with Carson Castle (114), Grant Jennings (152), and Trapper Burr (189) each getting a forfeit.

The match of the night was at 215 when Wellsboro’s Hayden Stevens edged Leland Pepper 4-1. Also getting a win for the Hornets was Connor Linden (121), who scored a forfeit.

There were double forfeits at 133, and 285.

Canton (5-5) will play host to Montoursville on Thursday, their third match in three days.
