NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: CANTON FALLS TO NP-LIBERTY (January 8, 2026)

CANTON — Canton fell to NP-Liberty, 56-19, during NTL boys’ basketball action Thursday.

The Mounties jumped out to a 21-5 first quarter lead en route to the win.

Kix Carr had five points to lead the Warriors, with Ryder Route, and Monte Whitehead getting four points each.

Teyton Thompson, Cooper Jennings, and Elijah Kilmer finished with two points apiece.

Luke Kreger had 16 to lead NPL.

Thompson, and Jennings had Canton’s two first quarter buckets, with Route hitting a second quarter 3-ball as the Warriors found themselves down 39-10 at the half.

After scoring just two in the third quarter they would finish with seven points in the fourth, led by three from Carr.

Canton (0-9) hosts Sullivan County on Monday.
