SULLIVAN COUNTY USES BIG FOURTH QUARTER TO DOWN MUNCY (January 10, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan County rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Muncy, 60-52, during Mid-Penn boys’ hoops action Saturday.
In a back and forth game the Indians held a narrow 2-point lead going into the final frame, when Sullivan out scored them 19-10 to get the win.
Tucker Blasi had 19 points to lead the Griffins, as Lucas King, Jaiden Moore, and Cayden Smithkors all had nine points apiece. King and Moore added five boards.
Colin King notched eight points, and four steals, as Ryan Murray had four points, and Dom Marotti added two.
Dominic Guardini had 23 to lead Muncy, as Jaxton Frantz added 14.
Muncy led 13-12 after one thanks to eight from Guardini, while Blasi, and Moore had four apiece to lead Sullivan.
It was Sullivan taking the 26-25 lead into the locker rooms behind four points from both Colin King, and Blasi.
The Indians came right back in the third with Guardini scoring seven to give them the 43-41 lead heading into the final frame.
That’s when Blasi went off, netting nine points, while the Griffins went 6-for-8 from the free throw line as a team to ice the game.
Muncy won the JV game 54-43 as Carter Blasi netted 13 for Sullivan.
Sullivan County (10-2) will travel to Canton on Monday with a 6 p.m. varsity start, followed by JV.
