Troy grad Sheldon Seymour gets his second win this weekend as Lehigh downs American.

Lehigh was back at the SnakePit at Grace Hall, this time hosting conference foe American University. 

For the second straight day and dual the match started at 133. Again, meaning the last match is 125. Waiting until the end and closing out the dual can happen to anyone at any weight. This weekend just happened; it would end with Sheldon Seymour. 
    
The duel with American was wrapped up by the time it came around to Troy standout Sheldon Seymour. That does not make a difference to wrestlers. To them, it is about going out and doing their job when asked and called upon. When his time came, and his entrance song was playing, Seymour walked out, greeted by the coaches, and he entered the center of the mat. 
    
Shaking hands with his opponent JJ Peace, the first whistle blows. Making it his match and his pace. Working to get a couple of stall calls and controlling the match from the beginning, Seymour took the early lead to end the first period 1-0. Seymour started the second period in the top position, getting a full 4 count to secure 4 back points to push the lead to 5-0 to end the second period. Seymour took the down position in the third. After a stall call and escape, Seymour would push the lead to 7-0. Adding another takedown to go up 10-1, Seymour lets Peace up to make the score 10-1. Adding the ride time point at the end of the third to make the final score 11-1 for the major decision. Lehigh wins the dual 32-7.
    
Lehigh will be back in action as they host conference rival Navy on Saturday, January 17, and then travel to Princeton on Sunday, January 18, for another double weekend of wrestling.
