NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: NEB RACES PAST WILLIAMSON (January 15, 2026)

ROME — NEB closed in on the century mark as the beat Williamson, 91-28, during NTL boys’ hoops action Thursday.

The Panthers scored over 20 points in the first three quarters, jumping out to a 28-2 lead in the first en route to the win.

Nate Gross had a career night with 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting, to go with nine boards, and two steals, with Clay Wilks adding a double-double of 18 points, and 11 rebounds.

Dayton Russell had 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting to go with seven boards, and three assists, as Eli Stanton notched 14 points with five boards, four assists, and two steals.

Mac Burgert had seven points, seven assists, and two steals, while Brody Allen finished with six points, and five assists.

Anthony Johnson added four points, with Landon Knolles getting three points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Dan Barrett rounded things out with two points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Maddox Hartman had 14 to lead Williamson.

Stanton came out of the gates hot as he had 10 points in the first quarter, while Burgert hit two 3-balls.

NEB netted 21 in the second quarter for a 49-5 lead at the half as Wilks, Russell, and Gross each had six points.

The Panthers added 27 more points in the second behind four 3-balls, led by Allen’s two. Williams netted 17 in the frame.

Gross had six points to pace NEB in the fourth quarter.

NEB won the JV game 57-22 behind 17 from Gross, and 13 out of Johnson.

NEB (11-2) will travel to Williamson on Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
