NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB'S BEEBE NETS 1000TH AS PANTHERS ROLL PAST WILLIAMSON (January 16, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — NEB’s Leah Beebe etched her name into the Panther history books as she netted her 1,000th career point in during 62-15 win over Williamson on Friday.
Beebe finished with 21 on the night, including five 3-balls, to go with six assists, and five steals.
“It feels really good, and it’s such a milestone that I’ve dreamed about,” Beebe said. “It’s really amazing that it came true tonight.”
She did it with her dad watching her from the coach’s chair.
“It makes it that much better, and he has been there, and coached for my whole life,” Leah said. “He has helped me get here, so it’s really great I get to do it with him.”
Ben was emotional watching Leah reach the quadruple digit plateau.
“As a coach, and a dad, I couldn’t be happier for a kid that really works so hard at her game,” remarked Ben. “She is a team player first. Leah should be proud of herself, I know I am.”
Mallorie Maynard added 12 points, six steals, five boards, four assists, and two blocks, as Kara Dughi had 10 points, four boards, and two steals.
Aurelia Kolesar notched eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and five steals, while Sarah Gray netted five points, and Karmyn McPherson added four points.
Katrina Russell rounded things out with two points, eight steals, seven rebounds, and three assists.
The Panthers led 15-2 after the first quarter behind two 3-balls from Beebe, and another out of Maynard.
NEB went off for 20 points in the second to build a 35-8 lead at the half. Maynard led the way with seven points, as Beebe scored five.
Beebe then got the milestone during her 10 point third quarter as the Panthers held Williamson scoreless to make it 51-8.
Gray led NEB in the fourth with five points.
NEB (9-2) will take their eight game win streak to NP-Mansfield next Tuesday.
