Northern Tier Sports Report
LEHIGHTON — NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar made history once again, becoming the first girls’ wrestling in program history to hit 100 wins.

She got the milestone as she went 3-0 at the first day of the Coal Cracker Invitational.

“I knew it was close, and I feel really excited to get it,” Kolesar said. “I’ve been working so hard to get it.”

Kolesar (132) reached the quarterfinals after two falls, and a tech fall on Friday.

She’s looking forward to some tougher matches on Saturday.

“I always say I haven’t been able to get a lot of competition, so I know that this time I’ll be able to get it,” said Kolesar. “There’s lots of people here.”

Teammates Dariela Reyes-Ramirez (114), and Riley Lamson (150) are alive in the consolation rounds.

Ramirez won her first two matches - one by fall, the other by a 14-2 major decision - before getting pinned.

Lamson lost her first bout, then got a 34 second fall in the next round of consolations.

Mackenzie Clark (126) went 1-2 on the first day to fall out of the tournament.

She opened with a loss, then got a fall in the consolations. In her final match she was pinned.
