NTL WRESTLING: CANTON PULLS AWAY FROM TOWANDA (January 17, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton won their third match in four days, besting Towanda 45-24 during NTL action Saturday.
The Warriors won eight bouts, and four of the last five to pull away. Towanda claimed four bouts, with a double forfeit at 121.
This was Towanda’s third match in four days, as well.
“Extremely proud of our effort tonight,” said Canton coach Garrett Wesneski. “It takes an army. That was a total team win. Beginning of the year our guys made it a goal to make District Duals and we got that done tonight. A small step towards our end goals. I thought that was the best we have looked as an entire team all year. Our conditioning and pace looked great and I’m just very proud of the boys. Now we just need to keep taking it one day at a time and getting better. Our focus is wrestling hard and being at our best come February 14th for post season.”
