NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA USES TOUGH DEFENSE TO DOWN SULLIVAN COUNTY (January 19, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda allowed just one point the entire second half in their 54-10 win over Sullivan County during non-league girls’ hoops action Monday.
The Knights led 12-4 after one, then pulled away with a 17-5 second quarter.
Brynn Woodruff had 16 points, five boards, five steals, and two blocks to lead the Knights with Payton Perry, and Mya Maynard getting eight points each. Perry also had five steals, while Maynard nabbed seven boards to go with three steals.
Karis Flynn had six points, and four steals, as Reese Sullivan notched five points, and three assists, and Taylor Aquilio had five points, and three steals.
Mary-Kate Eberlin finished with four points, and three steals, as Maci Alexander had two points.
Eva Fresno had seven points to lead the Griffins.
Woodruff had four points in the first quarter to lead the Knights, with Aquilio, and Sullivan bagging 3-balls.
Woodruff tallied seven more points in the second quarter for the 29-9 halftime lead.
In the third Towanda out scored Sullivan 17-1 behind five from Woodruff, and four out of Perry.
The Knights out scored Sullivan 8-0 in the fourth.
Towanda rolled past Sullivan, 36-9, in the JV contest as Ali Hollett had 12 points, by way of three 3-balls, while Maris Cobb finished with 10.
Towanda (11-3) will travel to CV on Tuesday.
