NTL WRESTLING: NEB BOYS PICK UP WIN ON SENIOR NIGHT, GIRLS COME UP SHORT TO WELLSBORO (January 20, 2026)

ROME — It was senior nigh for NEB wrestlers, with the boys rolling to a 54-12 win over Wellsboro, while for the girls the Panthers came up short, 25-24, to the Lady Hornets, falling on Criteria F.

On the girls’ side Dariela Reyes Ramirez (118), Mackenzie Clark (124), and Anaiah Kolesar (130) all had falls with Riley Lamson (148) scoring a forfeit.

“Anaiah is checking off everything on her goal list,” NEB coach Curt Cole said. “Hopefully it continues. It’s been a treat to have her - the same as all the other seniors - and I think if she keeps cracking down, and practicing, and wrestling how she has, she’s going to have a good postseason.”

For the boys Mason Alexander (114), Maddex Rooker (133), William Chappell (139), and Kale Howland (172) all had falls, with Hunter Comstock (127), Kelton Raymond (145), Alex Gomez (152), and Asher Kolesar (189) all scoring forfeits.

Cole was glad to see Rooker and Chappell get pins in their home finale.

“Going into it we knew they were going to be the two matches we were going to have some fun with,” he said. “They went out, and they took care of business.”
