NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: HOT SHOOTING NIGHT POWERS TOWANDA PAST CV (January 21, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWESTFIELD — It might have been single digits outside but Towanda was red hot on the court as they shot 54-percent from the 3-point line in their 82-10 win over CV during NTL girls’ hoops action Tuesday.
Ali Hollett led the way, hitting her first four 3-pointers - three in the first quarter - in her first career start as she shot 4-for-4 from deep in the game for 12 points, to go with four boards, four assists, and two steals.
Brynn Woodruff had a double-double of 23 points, and 12 boards, plus four steals, and three assists.
Mya Maynard notched 11 points, nine rebounds, and two steals, with Payton Perry getting nine points, six assists, four boards, and five steals.
Reese Sullivan had nine points, and three steals, while Maris Cobb, and Karis Flynn both finished with five points.
Mary-Kate Eberlin, and Kennedy Heyer had three points each, with Eberlin nabbing two steals, while Taylor Aquilio notched two points.
The Knights assisted on 22 of their 31 made baskets.
Towanda jumped out to a 30-1 first quarter lead behind nine from each Hollett, and Woodruff, while Maynard scored seven.
They tacked on 25 more points in the second to build a 55-3 lead at the half.
Sullivan led the way with seven points as her, Karis Flynn, Heyer, Woodruff, and Hollett all had 3-pointers.
In the third Towanda out scored CV 12-3 behind five from Perry, while in the fourth quarter Woodruff led the Knights with eight points.
Towanda won the JV game 56-7 behind 17 from Eberlin, and 12 out of Cobb.
Towanda (12-3) will host Canton on Thursday.
