NTL WRESTLING: CANTON USES LATE SURGE TO DOWN TROY (January 21, 2026)

CANTON — Canton rolled past Troy, 43-24, during NTL wrestling action Wednesday.

The Warriors won eight bouts, Troy took four, and there was a double forfeit at 107.

Gavin Sharp (139), Tommy Preston (145), Carson Rockwell (172), and Leland Pepper (215) all had falls for Canton, as Manuel Halbfoerster (160), and Blane Wesneski (189) each had forfeits.

Carson Castle (121) earned a major decision, as Levi Vermilya (114) scored a 14-10 decision over Garret Parks.

For Troy Hunter Watson (152) and Keegan Kerr (127) each had falls, with Marcus Frisbie (133) and Reed Palmer (285) both scoring a forfeit. 

After the double forfeit Vermilya’s decision, followed by Castle’s 15-7 win over Anthony Jordan put the Warriors up 7-0.

Troy would rally to take the lead as Kerr pinned Henry Proseus in 31 seconds, followed by Frisbie’s forfeit to make it 12-7.

Back to back falls to Sharp, and Preston - who pinned Logunn Heasley in 2:31, while Sharp pinned Wilder Koch in 1:49, put the Warriors back on top 19-12.

Watson’s pin of Carson Tillotson in 51 seconds cut it to 19-18, but the Warriors pulled away by winning the next four weights.

Two were forfeits to Halbfoerster, and Wesneski, while Rockwell pinned Moon in 27 seconds, and Pepper pinned Deakin in 31 seconds.

Palmer finished the match with a forfeit.

Troy, and Canton will be at Ultimate Warrior this weekend.
