NTL GIRLS' WRESTLING: TOWANDA FALLS AT ATHENS (January 21, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — Towanda fell to Athens, 60-16, during NTL girls’ wrestling action Wednesday.
Kenzie Brown (130) scored a major decision for the Knights, while Kaylen Sluyter (118), and Elizabeth Naughton (155) both had forfeits.
For Athens Harley Brinkley (100), Alyssa Rinebold (106), Mya Burke (112), Joyce Clink (124), Hannah Rathbun (136), Memphis Paul (142), Abby Ahern (148), Abigail Wagner (170), and Skylnn Payne (190) all had falls, with Leah Nason (235) getting a forfeit.
The Wildcats opened with three falls as Brinkley pinned Hailey Harbst in 2:55, Rinebold pinned Kaylee Johnson in 1:15, and Burke pinned Natalyn Morris in 2:54 for an 18-0 lead.
Sluyter’s forfeit made it 18-6, but Clink’s pin over Kylie Johnson in 1:01 extended the lead to 24-6.
Brown would get a 13-5 win over Chelsea Renninger for a 24-10 score, but the Wildcats would rattle off three straight falls after.
Rathbun pinned Lia Fischer in 35 seconds, Paul pinned Ily Benjamin in 4:35, and Ahern pinned Kendal Cook in 2:54 for a 42-10 contest.
Naughton then scored her forfeit.
Athens finished the match with two falls - Wagner pinned Adalee Wecker in 1:36, while Payne pinned Sophia Smallwood in 50 seconds - while Nason got a forfeit for the 60-16 final.
