FIVE HIT DOUBLE FIGURES AS SULLIVAN COUNTY TOPS MILLVILLE (January 23, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan County used a fast start to down Millville, 67-48, during Mid-Penn boys’ hoops action Friday.
The Griffins jumped out to a 17-3 first quarter lead, and extended that to 32-11 at the half.
Five different Sullivan players hit double figures, as Cayden Smithkors had 12 points, seven boards, and four steals, with Luca King adding 12 points, and six rebounds.
Colin King had 11 points, six boards, and six assists, Jaiden Moore had 10 points, and five rebounds, and Dom Marotti notched 10 points, and five boards.
Tucker Blasi, and Ryan Murray had six points each, while Blasi also had six rebounds.
Shane Johnson had 17 to lead the Quakers.
Colin King led the charge out of the gates, netting six points for Sullivan as they took their 14 point first quarter lead.
Colin King teamed with Moore in the second, as they both had four points, to build the 21 point lead at the half.
Millville’s offense got going in the third, though Sullivan still out score them 18-17 behind seven from Colin King, and four from Smithkors, for a 50-28 lead.
The Griffins added 17 more in the fourth to nab the win, with Marotti, and Smithkors both scoring four.
Sullivan won the JV game 40-29 behind 17 from Calen Sweigart.
The Griffins (14-3) will travel to Northwest on Tuesday.
