NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: BALANCED EFFORT LEADS TROY PAST NP-LIBERTY (January 27, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — Troy got a balanced effort as they topped NP-Liberty, 50-33, to stay undefeated in NTL girls’ hoops on Tuesday.
Troy led 14-7 after one, and slowly pulled away from there, taking leads of 26-15 at the half, and 38-27 after three.
The Trojans out scored NPL 12-6 in the fourth to secure the win.
Kyah Renzo had 12 points, seven boards, and six steals to lead Troy, while Giana Renzi netted 12 points, with two steals.
Raelyn Woodward had 11 points, eight boards, and three assists, as Izzy Renzi notched eight points, and two steals.
Emma Mickley finished with four points, two blocks, two steals, and six boards, while Haidyn Watson had three points, and six boards.
Haley Litzelman had 22 to lead NPL.
Giana Renzi netted nine in the first to lead the Trojan effort, while Izzy Renzi and Renzo both had five points in the second as they built the 11 point lead.
Five different Trojans scored in the third but Litzelman kept NPL afloat with a seven point frame.
Woodward took over in the fourth, netting seven of the 12 Trojan points, as they rolled to the win.
Troy (14-3) will travel to Wyalusing on Thursday.
Towanda lost to NEB on Tuesday, moving them three games behind Troy, while the Rams are just two back.
After Troy faces off with Wyalusing they welcome Towanda to the Commons Building the following week, so the Large School title could very well be decided in the next two games.
