NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: CANTON FALLS AT WELLSBORO (January 28, 2026)

WELLSBORO — Canton fell to Wellsboro, 61-22, during NTL boys’ hoops action Wednesday.

The Warriors were in it early, down 17-8 after one, but they were held to just six points over the next two quarters as the Hornets pulled away.

Ryder Route had eight points to lead Canton, with Drew Holton scoring six. 

Monte Whitehead netted four, with Teyton Thompson, and Kix Carr both scoring two.

Jonathan Carl led Wellsboro with 10 points.

Holton and Route each had 3-balls in the first, however, Canton had just one field goal in the middle frames.

They would score eight more points in the fourth, led by another Route 3-ball.

Canton (1-17) travels to CV on Friday.
