NTL BOYS' HOOPS: WYALUSING USES BIG FOURTH TO DOWN CV (January 28, 2026)

WESTFIELD — Wyalusing rolled past Cowanesque Valley, 55-38, during NTL boys’ hoops action Wednesday.

The Rams led 27-10 at the half, with CV rallying to cut it to 37-25 going into the fourth.

In the final frame Wyalusing pulled away, pushing the lead past 20 points before ending with a 17 point win.

Shay Gartland had 17 points to lead three Rams in double figures, while Noah Kilmer netted 15, and Tyler Caplan scored 13.

Myles Kershner notched seven, Jared VanDeMark netted two, and Parker Cunningham added one.

Josh Teague had 10 points to lead the Indians.

Wyalusing jumped out to a 14-5 first quarter lead as Caplan had eight points to pace the Rams.

Kilmer took over in the second, netting nine points as Wyalusing took the 17 point lead into the locker rooms.

CV would out score Wyalusing 15-10 in the third, with Teague netting all 10 of his points in the frame.

However, in the fourth Wyalusing had a game high 18 points, as Gartland netted seven, and Kilmer added five.

Wyalusing (6-9) hits the road again as they travel to Troy on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
