SULLIVAN COUNTY ROLLS PAST CMVT (January 30, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportBLOOMSBURG — Sullivan County jumped out early and never looked back as they rolled past CMVT, 61-25, during Mid-Penn boys’ hoops action Friday.
The Griffins were up 20-5 after one, then out scored the Rams 18-2 in the second to take a 38-7 halftime lead to start the second half with the mercy rule.
Lucas King shot 9-for-14 for a game high 21 points to lead Sullivan, as Tucker Blasi added 12 points, eight steals, and five assists.
Caiden Smithkors notched 10 points, as Dom Marotti added six. Jaiden Moore had four points to go with seven boards, as Madden Fries, Colin King, Ryan Murray, and Aiden Speary all had two points.
Jacob Mitzel had 13 to lead CMVT.
Sullivan had the range early, hitting four 3-balls in the first quarter, as Marotti led the way with two.
In the second Lucas King scored 10 points to lead the Griffin effort, while Blasi chipped in with six as they opened up a 31 point lead at the half.
Lucas King had six points, and Smithkors netted five in Sullivan’s 17 point third quarter.
Sullivan won the JV game 40-14 behind nine points from Fries.
The Griffins (15-3) will travel to Northwest Saturday with a 5:30 p.m. JV start.
