NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING EARNS TOP FOUR FINISH AT DISTRICT IV DUALS (February 1, 2026)

MILTON — Wyalusing had quite a day at the completion of the District IV Duals Tournament Saturday. The Rams finished top four, got revenge on two losses from earlier in the season, and saw two more seniors pin their way into the 100 wins club.

“I’m super happy,” Wyalusing coach Dave Patrick said. “We figured our best case scenario was to put ourselves in a position to get in the third-fourth match. To avenge two losses, Montgomery looks like they’re going to end up being the champions here, so I’m super happy to get those extra matches, to get two new guys in the 100 win club, that was exciting.”

The Rams opened up with a loss to Montgomery (40-26), though it was closer than their dual back in December, which was 46-15.

They rolled past Williamson (47-15), and edged Line Mountain (38-32) - they fell to Williamson 35-29 in their regular season home finale, while Line Mountain got them 36-33 down their duals just after the New Year.

In the third place match the Rams led early but fell to the defending district champions Montoursville (43-21).

A week to the day that Jonathan Earle reached the 100 win club Isaiah Harvey and Cole Patrick punched their way. Harvey went 3-1 on the day, while Patrick finished 4-0.

“It’s awesome,” coach Patrick said about the new additions. “Now we move forward one goal. It was a goal to come down here, and get to this round, and now we have two weeks to rest and repair.”

Seeing his son overcome injuries to get this mark was particularly special for coach Patrick.

“As a dad it’s really good to see,” he said. “We’re excited for the postseason here. There was an ideal match up for him and (Aristotlis Bobotas) today, but we’ve got to do what’s best for the team today, and then be ready for the postseason.”

Jonathan Earle also went an undefeated 4-0 with Logan Wood and Daniel Fox both going 3-1.

Ethan Vanderpool and Reuben Kinney were both 2-2, as Marshall Huston went 1-2. Bostyn McMicken and Conner Earle were 1-3, with Griffin Sheldon 0-3. Brenden Wells and Austin Jones both went 0-4.

In the opener against the Red Raiders Patrick (133) had a fall with Jonathan Earle (160) getting a forfeit.

Wood (107), and Vanderpool (189) both earned tech falls, as Fox (215) scored a 16-4 major decision.

In the win over the Warriors it was back and forth early as Wood (107) opened with a forfeit, followed by Williamson’s Xander Wilson (114) getting a fall over Jones for a 6-6 score.

Harvey (121) would pin Xander Stafford in 35 seconds for his milestone win, but Hunter Simonds (127) came back with a 15-0 tech fall in 4:41 against McMicken for a 12-11 Ram lead.

Patrick (133) got a first period fall on Kolton putt only for Kohen Vandelinder (139) getting a fall over Sheldon in 1:38.

The Rams made hay with the next three matches, though, as Kinney (145) pinned Ryder Dacheux in 3:09, Earle (152) pinned Memphis Brockway in 21 seconds, and Huston (160) got a fall over Jayden Bovee in 56 seconds to extend their lead to 36-17.

Williamson’s Steven Olson (172) scored a 20-3 tech over Conner Earle in 4:09 to keep their hopes alive, 36-22.

However, Vanderpool (189) shut the door with his fall over Riley Rall in 1:07.

Fox (215) would score a 21-1 tech in 2:21 over Harlow Little, while Williamson’s heavyweight Luke Sottolano finished out the match with a fall over Wells in 5:44.

The win over Line Mountain was much tighter as the Rams got key victories from Conner Earle (172) and Fox (215).

Earle battled to a 9-5 decision over Ethan Lenker, while Fox, on the verge of being tech falled as he was down 13-1, threw Dace Feger to his back to get the fall in 4:50.

Harvey (121), Patrick (139), Kinney (152), and Jonathan Earle (160) all had falls for the Rams, as Wood (107) sealed the win with a 15-0 tech fall in 2:26.

Wyalusing had a 15-6 lead early in the bronze medal match over Montoursville, but saw the Warriors win the next two matches to tie things up at 15-all.

A Jonathan Earle (160) fall put the Rams back up 21-6, but Montoursville won the final six bouts to get the win, and berth in the PIAA Duals.

Harvey (121) had a forfeit, Patrick (139) scored a fall, with McMicken (127) earning a 6-3 win.

Wyalusing will be in action next on February 14th at the North Section Championships.
