NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: CANTON FALLS TO MONTGOMERY (February 2, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton fell to Montgomery, 77-41, during NTL boys’ hoops action Monday.
The Raiders took a 52-24 first half lead en route to the win.
Ryder Route had 13 points to lead Canton, as Monte Whitehead netted nine.
Drew Holton scored eight, Teyton Thompson notched seven, with Payton Best, and Diesel Route adding two points each.
Parker Bennett led Montgomery with 30 points.
In the opening frame Whitehead and Ryder Route had five points each for the Warriors, while Bennett netted 12 to put Montgomery up 26-12.
Route went off for eight of his team’s 12 points in the second quarter but Montgomery hit five 3-balls in the frame to extend their lead.
The teams were even in the third, 11-11, as Thompson had five points to pace Canton.
Montgomery out scored the Warriors 14-6 in the final frame.
