SULLIVAN COUNTY GIRLS COME UP SHORT AGAINST NCC (February 4, 2026)

LAPORTE — The Sullivan County girls’ hoops team fell to Northumberland, 22-18, during non-league action.

It was 4-4 after one when Northumberland used a 10-point second quarter to take a 14-6 lead at the half.

Sullivan came right back with a 10-point third quarter to make it a 2-point game going into the fourth, 18-16.

NCC out scored the Griffins, 4-2, in the final frame to get the win.

Eva Fresno had 13 points and five boards to lead Sullivan, while Lily McCarty and Quinn Pennella had two points apiece. McCarty added seven boards, and two steals, as Pennella added four boards.

Ansley Baldwin notched one point, five boards, and three assists, with Alana Olson getting six boards.
