NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: WYALUSING'S LATE RALLY COMES UP SHORT (February 4, 2026)

WYALUSING — Wyalusing fell to Wellsboro, 59-50, during NTL boys’ hoops action Wednesday.

Wellsboro took an 8-4 lead after one, then pushed it to 29-24 at the half.

A 17-7 third quarter run by the Hornets saw them take a 15-point lead into the final frame.

In the fourth Wyalusing rallied with 19 points, but couldn’t quite get over the top.

Tyler Caplan had 15 points to lead the Rams, as Myles Kershner netted 12.

Parker Cunningham added eight, Noah Kilmer notched six, with Shay Gartland adding four. Jared VanDeMark finished with three points, as Cam Cole added two.

Colin Fletcher had 20 for the Hornets.

After the defensive slog that was the first quarter Fletcher had seven points, while Jon Carl added six to spur the Hornets to the 5-point lead at the half.

Kilmer, and Caplan had six points each to pace the Rams in the second.

Caplan added five more in the third, with Carl also scoring five to lead Wellsboro as they opened the 15 point lead.

Cunningham netted all eight of his points in the final frame, while Caplan, and Kershner had four points apiece as Wyalusing rallied.

The Rams will host NP-Mansfield on Friday.
