NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: TOWANDA ROLLS PAST NP-MANSFIELD AND INTO NTL SHOWCASE (February 10, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda clinched their spot in the NTL Showcase with a 50-21 win over NP-Mansfield during NTL girls’ hoops action Tuesday.
They’ll travel to NEB on Thursday with a 6 p.m. start with the winner headed to Mansfield University on Saturday night.
Towanda led 15-5 after the first quarter, then held NPM to just two second quarter points to build a 36-7 lead at the half.
From there they held the Tigers to just 14 second half points to secure the win.
Mya Maynard had 12 points, six boards, and three steals to lead the Knights, as Payton Perry added 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting to go with 10 rebounds to get the double-double. She also had six steals.
Brynn Woodruff and Karis Flynn had six points apiece, with Flynn adding four assists, and four steals, as Woodruff grabbed five boards.
Maris Cobb had five points, and two steals, with Mary-Kate Eberlin, and Taylor Aquilio getting two points each. Eberlin also had two points.
Kennedy Heyer rounded out the scorers with three points.
Maynard came out firing, netting eight points in the first quarter to lead Towanda, while Woodruff took over with six points in their big second quarter.
Maynard, and Perry had four points each in the second half to lead the Knights.
Towanda won the JV game 56-27 behind 26 points from Cobb.
