NTL GIRLS WRESTLING: TOWANDA HAS FOUR QUALIFY FROM DISTRICTS FOR REGIONALS (February 15, 2026)

WILLIAMSPORT — Towanda had four wrestlers reach the podium at the District IV Girls’ Wrestling Championships on Saturday.

Kaylen Sluyter (112) and Adalee Wecker (170) both took home third place finishes, while Kenzie Brown (130) and Kendal Cook (148) finished fifth to advance to Regionals.

Sluyter went 4-1 on the day, her only loss 6-4 to Milton’s Kyleigh Ficks. All four of her wins were by fall, with her final pin coming against NEB’s Dariela Ramirez-Reyes to take home bronze.

Wecker also went 4-1 on the day, with all four of her wins coming by fall.

She pinned Line mountain’s Kayleann Gonzalez in 1:38 in the third place match to get bronze.

Brown went 4-2 on the day with two falls, and two decisions.

In the fifth place match that decided who went to regionals she won 7-2 over Hughesville’s Madoka Charles to advance.

Cook also went 4-2 with all of her wins by fall.

In the fifth place bout she pinned Danville’s Jadelyn Sarviss in 2:02 to advance.

Hailey Harbst (100), Ily Benjmain (142), and Kylie Johnson (124) all went 2-2, as Lia Fischer (136), and Elizabeth Naughton (155) both went 1-2.

Kaylee Johnson (106), and Natalyn Morris (118) each went 0-2.

Towanda will compete at the Regional Championships in two weeks.
