NTL WRESTLING: TROY SENDS FOUR TO DISTRICTS FROM NORTH SECTION (February 15, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
WELLSBORO — Troy had two runners-up at the North Section Championships, with a total of four wrestlers advancing to districts on Saturday.

“I really couldn’t be happier with our team’s performance today,” said Troy coach Tony Carter. “Nearly every boy ended the day with at least one victory. Keagan Kerr and Hunter Watson both finished 2nd, Reed Palmer finished 3rd, and Garret Parks finished 4th, all earning bids to the next round of post-season competition. The best part for me, as a coach, is knowing we’ll be returning our entire team next year, except for our lone senior, Wilder Koch. We have many positives to build from this season. Today’s performance was just another piece to add to the jar.”

Hunter Watson (152) and Keagan Kerr (127) were both runners-up, as Reed Palmer (285) took home bronze, and Garret Parks (107) finished fourth.

Watson went 2-1 with a fall, and a major decision to reach the finals. There he lost 12-1 to Wyalusing’s Jonathan Earle.

Kerr went 2-1 as well, getting two falls en route to the finals, where he fell by fall in 36 seconds to Williamson’s Hunter Simonds.

Palmer went 2-1 on the day. After opening with a loss he got a 17-2 tech fall, then pinned Towanda’s Dom Miller in 35 seconds in the third place match.

Parks went 2-2 with two falls. He lost 5-3 to Wyalusing’s Logan Wood in the third place match.

Logunn Heasley (145) took fifth, with Anthony Jordan (121), Thomas Moon (172), and Wilder Koch (139) all finishing in sixth.

Heasley went 2-2, as Jordan, Moon, and Koch all went 1-3.

James Deakin (215) went 0-2.
