AOW: TOWANDA'S WECKER, AND JONES, AND WYALUSING'S VANDERPOOL ALL HAVE BIG WEEKS (February 16, 2026)

The winter postseason got started this past week with North Section wrestling, while NTL hoops finished up with Towanda boys and Troy girls claiming NTL Showcase titles.

On the girls’ side Towanda’s Adelee Wecker took third at the District IV Girls’ Wrestling Championships, punching her ticket to regionals, and earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.

The boys are split between North Section champions Towanda’s Hagen Jones and Wyalusing’s Ethan VanDerpool. The two won titles at 139 and 189 to be the Male Co-Athletes of the Week.
