NTL WRESTLING: TOWANDA'S JONES, EVANS REACH D4 SEMIFINALS (February 20, 2026)

WILLIAMSPORT — Towanda had two reach the semifinals during the first day of the District IV Boys Wrestling Championships Friday.
Gage Evans (145) and Hagen Jones (139) both reached the final four of their bracket, and have punched themselves a ticket to the regional tournament next weekend.
Jones pinned Lewisburg’s Nolan Altoft in 3:38 in the quarters, and will face Muncy’s Chase Boozer in the semifinals.
Evans won 5-1 over Loyalsock’s Ivan Baker in the quarters, and gets Midd-West’s Charley Paige in the semifinals.
Braydon Fessenden (121), Bryghton Yale (133), Dom Miller (285), Finn Brennan (215), Jayden Stranger (127), Joey Montonya (152), Kolton McPeak (172), and Reese Sluyter (160) all fell into the consolations.
Sluyter lost his quarterfinal match by fall to Montgomery’s Josh Knoebel, while McPeak lost his prelim match by fall to Milton’s Jackson Wertz in 1:52.
Montonya lost by an 18-2 tech fall to Hughesville’s Landen Puderbach, while Stranger lost 20-3 to Mifflinburg’s Jack Gramly - both in the preliminaries.
Brennan fell 2-0 to Montgomery’s Evan Hugar in the prelims with Miller dropping a 9-1 major to Montoursville’s Gabriel Vanderwall.
Yale lost 13-7 to Hughesville’s Ethan Wodrig, while Fessenden lost by fall to Mt. Carmel’s Brayden Mirarck in 4:58.
