NTL WRESTLING: NEB HAS TWO INTO THE SEMIFINALS AT D4 WRESTLING (February 21, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — NEB had two into the semifinals at the District IV Boys Wrestling Championships on Friday.
Mason Alexander (114) and Asher Kolesar (189) both reached the final four, while Alex Gomez (145), Connor Eastabrook (152), Hunter Comstock (127), and Kale Howland (160) are all into the consolations.
Kolesar won his first match with a 19-1 tech fall over Montgomery’s Gage Furman, then picked up a 4-2 win over Milton’s Michael Runkle in the quarterfinals. He gets Montoursville’s Hayden Harvey in the semifinals.
Alexander got a bye into the quarters where he pinned Benton’s Kaleb Collae in 1:17 to reach the semifinals, where he faces Southern Columbia’s Rowen Humphrey.
Both wrestlers also advance to the regional tournament next weekend.
Gomez opened with a forfeit win in the prelims over Bloomsburg’s Alex Billmeyer, then lost to Midd-West’s Charley Paige by tech fall, 20-4.
Comstock won his first match, 4-1, over Montoursville’s Brody Bower, but then lost 17-1 to Warrior Run’s Chase Wirnsberger in the quarters.
Eastabrook was pinned by Lewisburg’s Landen Wagner in the prelims, while Howland lost 10-0 to Montoursville’s Blake Fry.
Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
