COLLEGE: SEYMOUR EARNS WIN IN MATCH AGAINST ARIZONA ST (February 23, 2026)

BY BRYAN SEYMOUR
Northern Tier Sports Report
The college regular season has come to an end. Lehigh University made the West Coast trip to visit Arizona State University. These two teams faced off earlier in the season at the National Duals, where it was Lehigh coming out on top.

Facing the same team twice and trying to be victorious twice is hard. Where is the dual starting? What about different or the same matchups? How does Lehigh handle the cross-country road trip?

This time, the coaches didn’t agree to start at 125, so it went to the coin flip, with Arizona State winning the flip. By virtue of winning the flip, Arizona State decided to start the dual at 141. Meaning Troy’ Sheldon Seymour would be the second to last match of the dual.

Matching up with the same wrestler from the National Duals, Seymour is set to face Ane’e Vigil. The last time they faced each other, it was a fall for Seymour. As the first whistle blew, Seymour looked to take control of the match. Using his speed and calculated attacks to secure the first takedown. Little by little, Seymour dictates the pace of the match. In the end, Seymour takes the 11-4 decision to give Lehigh 3 team points. The final score gives Arizona State the win this time around, 24-11. Lehigh finishes the season 11-7.

Next up for Lehigh is the EIWA Conference Championships being held at American University, Friday, March 6, through Saturday, March 7. The NCAA Championships are being held in Cleveland, Ohio, March 19-21.
