NTL WRESTLING: CANTON'S ROCKWELL MAKES SEMIS AT REGIONALS(February 27, 2026) Northern Tier Sports Report WILLIAMSPORT — Canton’s Carson Rockwell punched his ticket to the semifinals after the first day of the Northeast Regional Tournament Friday.
Rockwell (160) pinned MId-Valley’s Wyatt Youngblood in 46 seconds. He gets Warrior Run’s Reagan Milheim in the semifinals.
Blane Wesneski (172), Leland Pepper (189), Levi Vermilya (107), and Tommy Preston (145) all fell into the consolations.
Pepper opened with a pin over Wyalusing’s Ethan Vanderpool in 1:41, but then got pinned by Montoursville’s Hayden Harvey in 1:03 in the quarters. He gets Southern Columbia’s Greg Fulmer in the first round of consolations.
Preston opened with a 7-1 win over Loyalsock’s Ivan Baker in the prelims, but then lost 17-1 to Montgomery’s Brandt Harer in the quarters. He gets Southern Columbia’s Gavin Richard in the consolations.
Wesneski was pinned by Sayre’s Jordan Brown in the opening round in 3:19. He’ll get Hanover’s Gregory Vassallo in the first round of consolations.
Vermilya lost 9-6 to Troy’s Garret Parks in the opening round, and gets Muncy’s Gannon Swank in the first round of consolations.
Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. back down at Williamsport.
