NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING'S FOX GOES 0-2 AT STATE TOURNAMENT(March 5, 2026) Northern Tier Sports Report HERSHEY — Wyalusing’s Dan Fox went 0-2 at the first day of the PIAA Wrestling Championships Thursday, to fall out of the tournament.
Both bouts were close, with Fox (215) falling 5-0 to Everett’s Tyson Grove in the preliminaries, then losing 4-3 to Line Mountain’s Jacob Schwalm in the first round of consolations.
Against Grove Fox kept working either side of Grove as he worked to get a leg. Grove was able to catch him in a double leg to get the takedown for a 3-0 lead.
Grove then rode Fox out in the second period, before getting a reversal, and another ride out, in the third.
Against Schwalm Fox snuck behind him for the initial takedown, though Schwalm countered quickly with a reversal.
After a scoreless second Schwalm got the go ahead reversal, then rode Fox out for the 1-point win.
