NTL WRESTLING: TOWANDA'S EVANS, NEB'S KOLESAR NAMED WRESTLERS OF THE YEAR (March 18, 2026)

Towanda’s Gage Evans and NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar were named the NTL Boys and Girls Wrestlers of the Year by the coaches recently.

On the boys’ side the first team consisted of NPL’s Bodhi Nickerson (107), Williamson’s Zander Wilson (114), NPL’s Bryce Pequignot (121), Athens’ Zaine Campbell (127), Wyalusing’s Cole Patrick (133), Towanda’s Hagen Jones (139), and Evans (145), Wyalusing’s Jonathan Earle (152), Canton’s Carson Rockwell (160), Athens’ Connor Davidson (172), NEB’s Asher Kolesar (189), Athens’ Brenden Cooke (189), Wyalusing’s Daniel Fox (215), and Williamson’s Luke Sottolano (285).

The second team is made up of Troy’s Reed Palmer (285), Wellsboro’s Hayden Stevens (215), Sayre’s Jordan Brown (172), Towanda’s Reese Sluyter (160), Troy’s Hunter Watson (152), Athens’ Teyton Barrett (145), Canton’s Tommy Preston (145), Wyalusing’s Griffin Sheldon (139), Athens’ Lucas Persun (133), Williamson’s Hunter Simonds (127), Towanda’s Braydon Fessenden (121), NEB’s Mason Alexander (114), and. Athens’ Chace VanDyke (107).

The girls first team are lightweights Towanda’s Kaylen Sluyter and Athens’ Joyce Clink, middleweights NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar, and Athens’ Hannah Rathbun, and upper weights Athens’ Skylynn Payne, and Leah Nason.

On the second team are lightweights Athens’ Alyssa Rinebold, and NEB’s Dariela Reyes-Ramirez, middleweights Towanda’s Kenzie Brown, and Kendall Cook, and Upperweights Athens’ Abigail Wagner, and Towanda’s Adalee Weckerl.

The Coaching Staffs of the Year are NEB for boys, and Athens for girls.
