NTL BOYS' TENNIS: TOWANDA DROPS SEASON OPENER TO GALETON, 3-2 (March 19, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda suffered a hard fought loss to Galeton, 3-2, during their boys’ tennis season opener on Thursday.
Two of the five matches went to three sets with the Knights splitting both of them.
At first singles Bayley Poll rallied for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over Galeton’s Corbin Basile, while at second doubles the Black Knight duo of Brody Hennessy and Travyn Lewis defeated Ethan Wittekind and Xander Gleason 6-1, 6-2.
Towanda’s Matrix McCarter won his first set 6-3, but then fell in the next two, 6-2, 6-2, at second singles, to Max Schloegel.
At third singles Black Knight Kellen Colton lost 6-1, 6-3 to Isaac Miller, while at first doubles the team of Emma Ackley and Ethan Lane lost 6-3, 6-4 to David Martin and Luke Knisely.
Towanda (0-1) travels to NP-Liberty on March 24.
